Will War Change Jonathan?

http://teamduke.blogspot.com I wonder what will happen to Jonathan. In the book I've noticed that when Jonathan walked in the rain with the three enemy soldiers they walked right back to the battle field when his troop fought with the Hessians. While " the wash of rain seemed to obliterate him ," Jonathan had seen what happened. In the middle of the battle field stood blood and ash, but the only thing he didn't see was his troop, the Corporal, and the Hessians?! Was his fellow soldiers taken away and sent to prison? Did they retreat without telling Jonathan. In the last page of this chapter it said, " He felt abandoned totally alone." Many harsh things had happened to Jonathan , but will his curiousity bring him his downfall? That may happen, yet the fact that the three dutch speaking soldiers hadn't killed him yet, is the only reason keeping Jonathan cooperating and from doing something he wouldn't regret.
